14-year Contempt Sentence for Failure to Pay Alimony
“In 1995 — the year “Apollo 13″ was a box-office hit, O.J. Simpson was acquitted of murder and 169 people were killed in the bombing of an Oklahoma federal building — Mr. Chadwick was a corporate lawyer who grew up in Bryn Mawr and became embroiled in a nasty divorce. In April that year, he was arrested by two sheriff’s deputies at his dentist’s downtown Philadelphia office and landed in jail.
A Delaware County judge issued an order to jail Mr. Chadwick for failing to deposit $2.5 million in a court-controlled account that would be used to pay alimony to his ex-wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Applegate.
Mr. Chadwick contended he no longer had the money, saying he lost it in a bad overseas investment. The judge believed he hid the money after divorce proceedings were started. Court-ordered investigations after he was jailed turned up no money.”
Ridiculous.

Judges told: ‘be more lenient to women criminals’
“Female criminals are more likely to have mental health or educational difficulties and to have parenting responsibilities, while a lower proportion will have committed violent crimes than men, according to new guidelines.
Judges ought to “bear these matters in mind” when passing sentence, according to the Equal Treatment Bench Book, published by the Judicial Studies Board (JSB).”
Watching children play for five minutes, it is easy to see the flaw in this logic. I’ll refrain from ranting about the inequality of the legal system and how crazy bitches can commit crimes just as ruthless as men. Then again, a woman can also kill her husband and land on an episode of Snapped. Instead, I’ll just say when you give an inch, they’ll take a mile.

Man Duped by Ex-wife for 17 Years
“The filing says the girl’s real biological father is “a British man, who unbeknownst to plaintiff at the time, was involved in a sexual relationship” with [Ameena] Meer. The writer had asked the man “to marry her when she was pregnant” but he refused, and “thereafter, knowing that [the girl] was not plaintiff’s child, [Meer], knowingly and with malice,” told Douglas the baby was his, the suit says.”
I’m having a hard time picking an appropriate adjective for this woman. Not only did she steal from this man for 17 years, she continues to expect monetary support for her and her daughter even after the truth is out. I’m interested to see if this case gets tossed like most similar cases in the US. The sad truth is, if you accept responsibility for the child even if you’re not the biological father, you’re screwed.
The moral of these three stories: 1) Men shouldn’t get married, 2) stay away from crazy bitches with a fascination for lethal weapons and 3) always use birth control.
